DIY Multi-Gemstone or Crystal Necklace By Denise Mathew

Sorry for the long tutorial but I wanted to make sure that it was clear as it's a bit of an intensive project with a few steps. I've added a lot of extra pictures at the end if anyone needs more help and of course questions are always welcome.

This necklace incorporates a variety of different gemstones in all shapes and sizes but can easily be made using an assortment of crystals too. The color scheme can be varied to suit your likes as well as the length of the necklace. Feel free to use smaller or larger stones for a more delicate or chunkier look.

For the necklace in the tutorial I used a 15mmx 15mm faceted lemon topaz briolette for a focal bead, a 5mm garnet round faceted bead, 4, 5 mm rondelles, in pink tourmaline, amethyst, ruby and peridot. 10, faceted briolettes in varying sizes from 15mm x10mm to 5mm x5mm they are garnet, turquoise, pink topaz, pink sapphire, clear crystal quartz, pink rhodochrosite, green tourmaline, and smoky quartz. I also used a 10mm x15mm labradorite marquise cut gemstone and a 4mm x6 mm marquise cut carnelian gemstone bead. I also used 14, 3mm faceted garnet rondelles, and 1, 7 mm round white pearl as well as 24 inches of gold tone chain( including a 4 inch extender if desired) 1, 5mm split ring, 1 scroll closure that is 10mm x 5mm, 1, 10 mm twisted circle, 1, 15mm x 10mm drop bead frame, 1, 8mm closed circle for the closure and 4 feet 26 gauge gold tone wire. Also 2, 4 mm faceted round pyrite spacer beads, 4, 4mm flower bali gold vermeil spacers as well as a 10mm x 5mm faceted apatite nugget for a finished length of 24 inches with a 4 inch extender. Yep, that's a lot of stuff ;)
