What is sugar waxing? Sugar wax gets its name from the paste itself which is made of sugar, water, & lemon. Sugar waxing also called "sugaring" removes hair from the root. Sugaring provides a light exfoliation by removing dead skin cells located on the surface of the skin revealing softer brighter and hair-free skin.

How is sugaring different from regular waxing? Regular wax is pulled in off in the opposite direction of hair growth which can cause the hair to break. On the other hand, when sugaring, the sugar wax is applied against the direction of the hair growth and pulled off in the same direction as the hair. Sugaring is also more natural and environmentally friendly.

Ingredients: 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of water, 1/4/cup of lemon juice
Additional tips: (1) Always wash the spoon off after whisking the mixture. If you reintroduce old sugar into the wax, it can cause the mixture to re-crystalize. (2) If baking the wax for 20 minutes makes the wax too hard, try baking it for only 18 minutes and doing cold water test.
