Sea Kayaking in Charleston, South Carolina: Shem Creek to Castle Pickney
In this video we'll be sea kayaking from Shem Creek located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina to Castle Pickney, which is a Civil War Fort located in the Charleston Harbor on Shuttes Folly Island. Shem Creek is a wonderful place to put in a kayak or paddle board and go explore the salt marsh and shrimp boats. Built in 1810, Castle Pickney was once used briefly by the Confederate military as a jail as well as an artillery outpost in the Civil War. Join me as we explore Shem Creek and Castle Pickney!
