TEDx Improv Theatre | English Lovers | TEDxVienna

The English Lovers bring the words of previous TEDxVienna talks to life in two funny improvisation performances by using input from the audience. Founded in 1997, the ENGLISH LOVERS are Austria’s premiere improvisational theatre company.Originally producing staged readings of new and established English language works, the LOVERS’ repertoire soon grew to include scripted comedy, as well as their trademark improvised performances. Supported by musicians versed in all musical styles, the ENGLISH LOVERS soon developed their unique brand of international humour, winning the Austrian Championships for improvised theatre more often than all other competitors combined. Now, 25 seasons later, the group continues to develop new techniques, formats and performance pieces, and to fully embrace new platforms, mediums and technologies.
