Dados on the Mitre Saw

Just a quick video to show the possibility of making a dado on the mitre saw. If you don't have a table saw then this is an option. If you need to make a lot of dados then you may be better using a router but it's still possible to do it on the mitre saw.

With the sliding compound mitre saws I've owned, none cut all the way back through to the fence when the depth of cut is set above the table - for this reason you need a temporary fence to make a dado.
