How to reduce Lipoprotein a levels naturally

Being anxious due to a high lipoprotein(a) is completely normal. Having a high level doesn’t mean you will have a heart attack, every person is different and how proactive you are in your care the more you can reduce your risk.

Many people ask me how to reduce lipoprotein a levels naturally. Watch my youtube video, read my blog post on my website (linked below) to get a better idea of what you can do if you have a high lipoprotein a to reduce your risk of future cardiovascular issues.

- Focus on risk factor optimization - assess all your numbers from inflammation, cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and manage them to optimal heart health guidelines (for instance LDL should be less than 70, not the standard less than 100. BP should be 110/70mmHg. HsCRP should be less than 1mg/dL).
- Be proactive in taking other tests like the coronary artery calcium (CAC) score to get a full picture.
- Implement a science based nutrition and lifestyle management inclusive of nutrition, appropriate physical activity, hydration, stress and sleep management.
