In this Moz tutorial, we cover the top features in Moz Pro SEO Tool. This is Kash from Kash Data Consulting LLC. Moz as you know is one of the leading authorities in digital marketing. We would consider them to be a pioneer company in online marketing. Not only do they have a great website, blog and YouTube channel, Moz also has a list of SEO ranking tools and digital marketing tools. In this Moz Pro tutorial video series, we’re going to look at three different features. Today we are starting with Moz feature number 1 which is how to check your domain authority?
First what is domain authority? And this is a SEO ranking metric from Moz. The domain authority is a number between 1 and 100. This is Not a Google ranking metric; it was created by Moz engineers.
According to Moz, Domain Authority really gives you two things:
Captures the quantity and quality of your backlinks. Remember links aka backlinks are from an external website to your site.
The second thing Moz domain authority does is predict your ranking on search engines including Google Yahoo and Bing
You can use Moz DA to
How well are you or your client are doing with SEO/Link efforts against your competitors
Find Link Partners or at least generate some ideas

Let’s say you’re a cosmetic dentist in Dallas and you are trying to spy on your competition, one of the things you can do is

When we check their domain authority we’re are getting 18. Not bad. Next lets check DA for one of our websites

The domain authority of DA of our site is 31. This is clearly better than Susans website, but we are not in the same business niche so really the domain authority comparison is sort of irrelevant here. Next lets use Chrome and show you the Moz Bar extensiton in Chrome. What is cool about Moz bar is that is gives page authority, domain authority link analysis, link domain and other backlink info right in the search results. How cool is that?
Next lets shift our focus to Moz Pro.
With Moz Pro, you can
Check your domain authority
Spy on competition. For learning purposes, let us day we are a Cosmetic dentist in Dallas. How do we spy on our close competitors?
Add a client to a campaign first. Add their competitors. Then using Moz Pro you can compare DA and other Backlink related metrics. We will use one of our clients who is Dentist in Allen (next to Plano)

Finally we are going to log into Moz Pro. We can check our domain ranking against competitors and see if our search engine and efforts are getting any traction. Our client is a dentist in Allen Texas. This is their website

With Moz.com pro seo tool, we can check our domain ranking. Once we log into Moz, pro. Within the moz campaign, we go to the Moz dashboard. Next we click on domain analysis toward the bottom of the Moz dashboard.
