Casting The Camp Crystal Lake Sign From "Friday The 13th" - Metal Casting At Home

In this video I will be casting the Camp Crystal Lake sign from the horror franchise "Friday The 13th". I started by modeling up the sign and printing it on my 3D printer. This was fairly large so I used my Elegoo Neptune 3 Max. I then primed and painted the sign to help remove some of the print lines. I made a mold of the it in petrobond sand and melted down some scrap aluminum ingots. I then poured the molten metal into the mold. I finished cleaning it up using my sand blaster to give it a flat matte look. As a huge horror fan and having printed a full size Jason Vorhees, I felt I needed the Camp Crystal Lake sign to go with him.
