Twister Movie Museum Wakita Oklahoma

Journey to Wakita Oklahoma to visit Twister the Movie Museum. Wakita Oklahoma is the main town used by Universal pictures to film Twister the movie. The town of less than 500 in central Oklahoma was destroyed with Hollywood magic to simulate what a town could look like after a major storm and Tornado Twister. Twister the movie was released in 1996 and retained a large fan based which supports the Twister Movie Museum in Wakita Oklahoma. Twister the movie museum is open during summer months and the main attraction in Wakita Oklahoma. There's not much in Wakita in the northern central part of Oklahoma just south of the Kansas state line. Each anniversary year storm chasers and tourist return to the small town of Wakita to celebrate the anniversary of Twister the movie.

Highly recommend visiting - Twister the movie museum especially if you are a fan. As seen in video, you'll get to see props and an actual Dorothy used in the filming of Twister the movie and behind the scenes items from the filming which consumed the town during the filming of the movie. Wakita is a very remote and the perfect place illustrating what it's like for a small town that is susceptible to tornadoes and severe storms.

Linda featured in video, who runs the museum, is a wealth of knowledge and was also an extra during the filming of Twister the movie. Linda greets visitors and shares the experiences
