Flying Hospital Airplane Walkthrough and tour. The once FedEx DC10 airliner was covert to an MD10 for Orbis as a Flying Eye Hospital. The MD10 is essentially a DC10 with upgraded flight deck to an MD11 digital cockpit and two person flight crew. The Orbis Flying Eye Hospital travels around the world treating patients and educating medical personnel to improve eye health care.

The Flying Eye Hospital Airplane by Orbis was on display for Oshkosh 2021 Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin. The aircraft was in excellent condition and looked brand new even tough originally delivered from McDonnell Douglas in 1973.

The Flying Eye Hospital is supported with volunteers and donations to Orbis. FedEx donated the aircraft and provides maintenance, parts, and flight crew allowing the aircraft to visit distant areas around the globe.
