Prefab Niche in Shower --- How to Remove Stud

If you want to do a horizontal niche in a shower, you will most likely need to remove studs in the way. If it is an exterior or load bearing wall, a header will need to be placed to support the studs and roof above, but if it is a non-load bearing wall, you can just cut out the stud.
