Julia’s speech, “Luck; Choose it, instead of waiting to be chosen” hopes to instill in the audience a new perception of luck. Passionate about writing and sharing ideas, Julia can’t wait to share her perspectives. Julia Hong is a Grade 10 student at Abbey Park High School! Julia will be talking about how the concept of luck ties into success. Julia is inspired by not only imaginative stories, which help her to work towards her visions, but also her number one role model, Maya Angelou. Angelou’s relentless spirit inspires Julia to re-energize and keep going. Julia hopes that her audience walks away from her talk with a new perception of what luck is and how it is different from the way it is viewed by society. She will introduce and enforce a new idea to help her audience have a new understanding of how luck is a choice. Julia is very passionate about writing, which has led to her involvement in Abbey Park’s magazine club, Eagle Ink. She is also passionate about business and hopes to embrace this passion and turn it into a career eventually. Be sure to come listen to Julia speak next month!
