A Lamb Being Born

Skip to 2:58 for the actual lambing. I've had the best success with as little intervention as possible when it comes to lambing. I offered this ewe just the smallest amount of assistance with her second lamb but usually it isn't needed. Occasionally the embryonic sac won't break when the lamb hits the ground and it can drown in the fluid if the mom doesn't manage to lick it off or someone isn't around to break it in time. That wasn't the case here but there was a great deal of fluid around the lamb's head so I tilted it up a bit to insure its airway was clear and it was breathing.
