Make, Create, Play: paper cutting & collage fish

This creative video is part of a new 'Make, Create, Play' series which explores different hand-based, creative activities which are suitable for all ages within the home environment.

This video focuses on paper cutting and collage to create your very own fish using:

1. Paper (this can be any paper from newspapers to used envelopes, wrapping paper to letters and everything in between!)
2. A felt tip pen
3. Scissors
4. A glue stick

You can use your fish to create an 'under the sea' scene, to hang in a window (if you create a loop with some ribbon/string and tape it to the back), as a card, or as a story book prompt to accompany sea-themed books such as The Rainbow Fish (by Marcus Pfister), Tiddler (by Julia Donaldson) and Bright Stanley (by Matt Buckingham).

Henri Matisse is a great artist to look into as he famously used paper cutting as a technique within his creativity.

You can watch the video as a whole, keep it running in the background as you create alongside the video, pause the video and return to it whenever works for you or skip to the specific times to focus in on the different ideas/techniques!
