Post Analog Studio at THE HOLE

James Kalm has facilitated over 25,000 views to the two previous presentations of this “Post Analog” themed show at The Hole. “Post Analog Studio” continues and expands this theme in contemporary painting with the inclusion of sculpture and large computer assisted constructs that illustrate how invasive the idea of the “digital” has become. This show features twenty-seven artists who, whether working in traditional modes of representation, or with extensively computer assisted production, all pay homage to the creative “ghost in the digital machine”. One provocative question your correspondent ponders is; has the momentum and focus of this group reached a tipping point where it could now be considered an authentic “art movement”?
