FRIEZE ART FAIR NEW YORK 2019

James Kalm has been visiting and documenting the FRIEZE art fair since its arrival here in New York in 2012. This year, your correspondent returns for a walk-through tour, and notes some interesting developments in the presentation, the list of featured artists, and the inclusion of an “outsider art” section. Because this program is nearly one hour twenty minutes long, and contains views of dozens of works, this description must be thankfully abbreviated. That said, a few points of interest might be: A Knox Martin booth by Hollis Taggart, a wall of works on paper and paintings by Steven Parrino at Gagosian, and a selection of works on paper from 1970 by William T.
