Glen Hansard, from Ballymun, Dublin, Ireland is a musician and songwriter, former Frames frontman. He started his artistic life playing in the street. His new and fifth solo studio album is titled All That Was East Is West Of Me Now and is produced by David Odlum (Tinariwen, Sam Smith) together with his friends Frames. It’s an evocative and meditative record, the first in five years spent collaborating with Eddie Vedder and Cat Power and playing live with Frames and Marketa Irglova (The Swell Season).
