The Central York HS Chorale (York, PA), Mr. Benjamin Watson, director, sings Scott Watson's arrangement of "All the Pretty Little Horses."

PROGRAM NOTES: Generations of children from Appalachia and the American South, especially those growing up during the 19th and early 20th centuries, fell asleep to the folk song lullaby, “All the Pretty Little Horses.” The song’s soothing promise of finding all variety of pretty horses offers children fanciful images for their dreams and hope for when they wake.
This choral setting features the beauty and simplicity of the original modal melody along with contemporary harmonies and vocal textures.
