Casa Reciclada Container House by Sachi Fujimori, Lima, Peru. In this video we bring to you CASA RECICLADA, A shipping container project Lima, Peru by Sachi Fujimori Architects. This imposing design is one of the most innovative proposals of the CasaCor 2014 in Lima, Peru, led by Sachie Fujimori collaborating with a team of other professionals. This is a purely ecological initiative based on shipping containers and recycled materials that privileges comfort, space savings and the self-generation of energy and resources. The house design was conceived for a young couple for a countryside living. The structure of the house consists of three shipping containers. Two of them are 20 feet on the first floor, and one is 40 feet on the second floor. The plinth of the house includes 60 sqm internal area and 53 sqm terrace area. The two 20 foot containers on the ground floor are sheared horizontally and set apart to accommodate the kitchen an dining in one wing and the lounge in the other wing. The open space in between serves as a circulation lobby with a single flight staircase leading to the first floor level.
