In this video, we bring to you The Hanging House an amazing family house built using shipping containers in Campos Novos Paulista in Brazil. This luxurious three story residence located in Campos Novos Paulista in Brazil is made from 6 shipping containers which create a total of 257 M2 distributed over three levels. The three 40 foot containers on the first floor level sit on a 20 foot container and a series of V shaped steel pier foundation. Additional 20 foot containers form the third story of the building with a series of roof decks and covered patio spaces. The project was named “The Hanging House” because of its elevated position from the natural ground level of the site where it was located. Casa Container Marília, is as a country house that is integrated with the local ecosystem, with sustainability and recyclability at its core. For this reason, the construction system that used recycled maritime containers was adopted with a total 80% of the materials being recycled.
