Today I'm sharing a technique I came up with called a Pin Curl Refresh.
Although, women have been pin curling their straight hair for eons and I definitely did not come out with pin curling itself. I have adapted this method using root clips and leave-in conditioner/styler and applied it as a method of refreshing wavy hair. I have modified and adapted the method (figuring out direction of curls) and applied it to training curl clumps. By using this method, you can correct and train your clumps to be thicker and juicier post your wash day.

So there you have it. This is my pin curl refresh routine for clump training. It should work for hair ranging from 2a to 3a. You could also just use a curl cream like the fix my curls curl quenching hair butter without the gel (as the product has some hold and does a great job when used without the gel).
