How to tell if your Prius hybrid battery has gone bad

In addition to the big red triangle of death there are a few things you can do to confirm your hybrid battery is dead.

- Bad battery voltages seen in the torque pro app
- The internal combustion engine (ICE) not kicking on
- the 0 and ready lights on your dash board not lighting up
- The car won't go into Reverse or Drive

Do your research before you drop a lot of money on a new battery, sometimes the fix can be simple and you should explore those options first before going for replacing the whole battery.
