My version of Lovin Summer Beach Tent DIY

This is what I used to make my version.

2 - 10 foot 1 inch PCV pipe @ 2.66 each = 5.33
3 - 1 inch PVC connectors @ .46 each = 1.38
2 - 1 inch caps @ .73 each = 1.46
2 - machine screws 24 x 1 ½ @ 1.00 each = 2.00
1 - 8 x 10 tarp @ 4.49
Total 14.66

I did get 2 sand anchors for 9.99 each = 19.98 my biggest expense.
And sand bags from Amazon, .80 each = 3.20
according to a customer the sand bags once filled weights 50 lbs.

New total 37.84 instead of 150.00 total savings of 112.16

First cut both 10 foot pipes to six feet.
Now take those two six foot pipes and cut them in half, so now you have four three foot pipes.
These will be your two vertical poles that will be connected with two of the connectors.

I forgot but you will need to add two grommets to the tarp. When you open it up there is not a grommet in the center of the 10 foot sides, so you will need to do that and it easy.

You now have two four foot pipes which you will need to heat one end on each pipe and clamp the end closed to flatten it. Once they cool and harden flat drill a hole in the center of the flat area for the machine screw to fit through. These two pipes will be your horizontal pipe and you may need to cut an inch or so off the other end of each pipe as the 8 x 10 tarp is not really 8 x 10. To do this lay out the tarp and position the pipes on the tarp lining up the hole that you made in the pipe with the grommet you put in the tarp and mark there the connector will go, make sure the pipe will go inside the connector.

I used paracord on the four corners of the tarp. I made a slip knot on each corner of the tarp and a taut-line hitch knot on the ends, it's an adjustable loop knot that can be adjusted to maintain tension, so no hardware is needed with this kind of knot.
