1950's Caterpillar TraxCavator ~ Will the DIESEL Start & will it DRIVE? P2 ~ Forgotten for 20+ YEARS

I'm TRULY glad you're here joining me on Part 2 of this JOURNEY to save & resurrect Red's 1950's Caterpillar 955 Traxcavator. It's time to get the Old CAT Diesel motor started so we can see if this Old Boy wants to ROLL!

Today we're going to work on getting FRESH fuel to the the Cat D315 engine in this old Beast. We also worked on the electrical, the hour meter, & put in a new oil pressure gauge in it. We also discovered a MASSIVE coolant leak at the bottom of the radiator & have a quick look at the undercarriage on this old beast.

After a bit of repair & maintenance, let's see if this OLD Boy wants to start up it's Diesel Engine and go for a DRIVE!

In part 1 we unearthed the Old 955 TraxCavator and got the Pony Motor to start & run well after having been FORGOTTEN for 20+ years! You should DEFINITELY see that video!

Throughout this project we'll pay tribute to it's previous owner Red & those before him that truly knew how to maintain and operate such a cool old machine like this!

I'll show you that OLD machines CAN be a LOT of work, EXTREMELY frustrating at times, but once running properly, an INCREDIBLE amount of fun!!

Today we're going to work on getting the Caterpillar Diesel Started and see if the OLD Boy moves and drives

I recently discovered this 60+ year old Caterpillar Traxcavator at an old chicken farm, and the owners have honored me with the privilege of bringing it back to life, and then putting it BACK TO WORK!
