Venus Rising Women's Drum & Dance Ensemble - Econcon / Lingin

This is a performance by Venus Rising: Women's Drum & Dance Ensemble of "Econcon / Lingin," the Senegalese harvest / fertility dance, at the October 2014 Miami Music Festival from around the World. The number was choreographed by Anita McBeth and the venue is the Florida International University Wertheim Performing Arts Center.

Venus Rising: Women's Drum and Dance Ensemble is a South Florida-based, multi-ethnic performance troupe dedicated to creating works that uplift and inspire. These talented women percussionists and dancers explore West African, Caribbean, Brazilian and Middle Eastern rhythms, movements and songs in powerful performances.
