‘Wake Up In The Sky’ is an ode to the high life finds Gucci Mane in sensual mode. At the same time, Bruno Mars sings on the chorus about drugs, alcohol, and his luxurious lifestyle. The lyrics to ‘Wake Up In The Sky’ go:

Kodak Black contributes 16 bars to the track. These 16 bars were the first his fans had heard from him since the rapper spent his seven-month jail term for multiple charges.

This track isn't the first time that Gucci Mane and Bruno Mars have worked together. Guwop was previously featured on the remix to Bruno Mars’ single ‘That’s What I Like’ which dropped earlier in 2018. ‘Wake Up In The Sky’, covered here by Next Town Down, also marks Gucci Mane's 2nd collab with Kodak Black, following the latter's ‘Vibin in This Bih’.
