'Las Mujeres de Macondo'

The female characters of Gabriel García Márquez inspired this Spring-Summer 2017 collection. Úrsula, Pilar, Visitación, Amaranta, and Remedios, amongst others, were represented in looks that can tell their stories featuring clever details ready to unveil the magic universe of Macondo. Respectfully channeling the Nobel Prize winner, Tcherassi played with the dichotomy between local and universal, contrasting sinuous and defiant silhouettes as Zaha Hadid’s buildings with landscapes of Aracataca and the Ciénaga Grande charged with evocation, beauty and nostalgia.
