Manthralaya ಶ್ರೀಗಳು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ Paperless in Gandhi Hospital, Udupi; First in undevided Dakshina Kannada

Mantralayam is a pilgrim village in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India, on the banks of the Tungabhadra River on the border with neighbouring state of Karnataka. It is known for being the site of the samadhi of Raghavendra Tirtha, a saint who lived in the 17th century. He is believed to have chosen to be enshrined alive in a meditative state in front of his disciples at the site of the temple. Thousands of people visit the Raghavendra Math and temples on the banks of the river.

Mantrayalam Taluk has a population of 61,294 people with roughly 92% Hindus, 7% Muslims and 0.5% Christians and 0.2% people following other faith.Telugu is the official language and spoken as mother tongue overwhelmingly and Urdu and Kannada spoken in minority.

The "Mantralayam Swamiji" usually refers to H.H. Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji, the current Peetadhipathi (pontiff) of the sacred Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralayam, who leads spiritual activities and development projects like transforming it into a "Swaccha, Sundara, Suvarna Mantralaya" (Clean, Beautiful, Golden Mantralayam). He upholds the legacy of the 17th-century saint Sri Raghavendra Swamy (Raghavendra Tirtha), a renowned scholar of Dvaita philosophy who attained samadhi (alive) at Mantralayam and promised blessings for 700 years.

Sri Raghavendra Swamy (Rayaru): The saint whose brindavan (tomb/shrine) is at Mantralayam, the focus of devotion.

H.H. Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji: The present pontiff, actively involved in preserving and developing the holy site, known for his insightful leadership.

Lead Rituals: Perform special pujas and observe vows like Chaturmasya Deeksha for devotees.

Oversee Development: Implement projects for infrastructure and spiritual enrichment at the Mutt.

Uphold Tradition: Continue the legacy of Dvaita Vedanta and serve the devotees of Raghavendra Swamy.
