Union Pacific 4420 Returns Home - OH! And we get more cinders...

Union Pacific 4420, the shop switcher at the Evanston Roundhouse has returned home to the roundhouse and will be starting restoration!

We have been working on our 1:20.3 logging railroad and ran out of needed cinders. SO off to Evanston Wyoming to get some from the old roundhouse. The roundhouse is being restored and becoming a railroad museum. ANd the original switcher, which has been displayed in a park for years, has been moved back to the roundhouse.

While Covid 19 has ended train shows for a time, the work at Evanston goes forward, even though the GREAT train show is on hold. So we drove the short distance to Evanston to sneak a few pounds of cinders and check out the progress on the roundhouse and see 4420 in its new location.
