Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is hosting Equatorial Guinea Foreign Minister Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe for bilateral talks in Moscow.

The meeting comes as Russia continues to deepen diplomatic, economic, and strategic engagement with African nations through the Russia–Africa partnership framework. Discussions are expected to focus on bilateral cooperation, trade, energy, mining, agriculture, education, and coordination on international issues.

Simeón Oyono Esono Angüe has served as Equatorial Guinea’s foreign minister since 2018 and has previously participated in several Russia–Africa diplomatic forums.

Lavrov has intensified outreach to African countries in recent years as Moscow seeks stronger political and economic partnerships across the continent.
