LEARN HOW TO PASSWORD PROTECT EXCEL SPREADSHEETS (Cybersecurity Tip) // Learn this important cybersecurity tip if you need to save a spreadsheet that contains confidential information. Learn how to password protect your spreadsheet in this Excel tutorial from my Excel Quickies Series.

HOW TO:
Go to File - Save As - select a location to save your file - name your file - Select Tools drop down next to Save - Select General Options - Enter Password - Click OK - Re-enter Password to Confirm (read caution notice) - Click OK - Click Save. When you close and re-open your spreadsheet, you will be prompted to enter your password. Don't forget your password! Once it is set, your spreadsheet is password protected and cannot be opened without the password. Always password protect your spreadsheets before you e-mail them if they contain confidential data.
