The short answer is yes, but you have to follow a few filmmaking rules.
Technically, the camera and the software in most smartphones are very advance if you use them correctly.

In this video, I’ll share 5 tips for getting the most high-end video with your iPhone or Android.

1 - Composition: Frame your shot with basic rules of cinema. (Rule of thirds) note: headroom and shot size is very important

2 - Lens selection: Choose the right lens. Don’t use the front-facing camera.

3 - Lighting: You have to light your shot to get good video quality with any camera.

4 - Tripod: Use a tripod or phone grip to stabilize the shot.

5 - Sound: Use a microphone if your phone is more than a couple of feet away from you.
