Photography as a Tool of Science – Davide Gaglio & Bird Matters

Davide Gaglio has a passion for bird and wildlife photography, and from a young age he has used it as a means of communication. Currently he is working on his PhD, investigating the conflict between human activities and wildlife, in particular the influence of fisheries on seabird populations. He is utilising his medium of passion - photography - to capture data for his research.

He talks about some of his favourite photos, and the techniques he used to achieve them, including his award winning photo ‘Turbulent Penguin’.
