This video shows the repair of a PS4 console stuck in an update loop with error code SU-30631-3. You'll find common suggestions of a corrupt software update download, trying different USB sticks and bad hard disk drives but what happens when you've tried all those and it still doesn't work?
The answer is to dump the NOR flash and take a look inside to see where the issues lurk.

Here we identify the corruption using the superb BwE NOR Validator tool from betterwayelectronics.com.au before getting to work fixing the corruption and finally reprogramming the flash chip of the PS4 to recover the error, escape the loop and get our console up and running once more.
