Pega 8.7 Tutorial: Hotel Booking Application #12 - Report Definitions

Hi guys!

In a previous video we talked about how Data Pages are responsible for connecting with the database. Today, we are going a bit further exploring the actual rule responsible for speaking with the database: the Report Definition.

Report Definitions are quite often compared to SQL, as they’re used for retrieving information while also applying filters, sorting, joins, and more advanced techniques for retrieving and organizing information.

The goal of this tutorial is both, an informative introduction into this new topic, but also, the creation of a Report Definition rule which can be used to retrieve an Account by username and password.
