How To Shut Down Windows 10/11 Using Keyboard Only Without Using Mouse (2 Methods)

In this video, I will show you 2 simple methods to shutdown windows without using your mouse.

The first method is probably the quickest.

Press both alternate and F4 key. This will bring up the shut down menu.

You can also use the up or down key to choose other options such as sign out, restart or put your computer to sleep.

To access the other options below, click on the tab button on your keyboard. Now use your left or right arrow keys to choose okay to shut down the computer, or choose cancel to exit this menu. Do that by pressing enter key.

If the first method did not work for some reason, you can use the second method. Press your windows button and X button at the same time. This will bring up a windows menu from the bottom.

You can use your down arrow key to navigate to the bottom and choose “shut down or sign out”. Then use your right arrow key to bring up the sub menu here to see additional options.

You can then choose “shut down” from here by tapping enter on your keyboard. To exit the menu, just press the escape button on your keyboard.

If you want to shut down very quickly, you can press the windows icon and X button, then press the U button twice and your computer will shut down right away.
