The programme realized by Elisabetta Valgiusti follows some of the itineraries of St. Thomas Apostle and st. Francis Xavier . Christianity was brought to India by St. Thomas the Apostle, who travelled here from Mesopotamia and established a surprisingly large number of Catholic churches in India.
The programme travels though numerous Indian states from New Delhi to Kottayam , from Madras to Goa and Mumbai, etc. showing the different Christian traditions , the committment of the Catholic Church , the difficulties of co-existence for the Christian minorities in some areas.
H. Em. Cardinal Oswald Gracias and other religious leaders highlights cultural and social aspects of the Christian presence in the country.
