Young patient’s ‘toy’ far more than child’s play

Eight-year-old Mason Thomas visited the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute to learn why he needed a heart transplant two years ago. To help Mason understand, his healthcare team created a 3D model of his old heart — with some special modifications for the young Star Wars fan.
