For the 4th of July my friend Tess (a different Tess than Grand Canyon Tess) and I went to Yosemite National Park and backpacked for 4 days. We hiked Hetch Hetchy Loop to Laurel Lake and Lake Vernon which is located in Hetch Hetchy Valley rather than the main valley.

This was actually our first real hangout outside of work so we were really lucky that we got along so well despite being tired and hungry with no phone service in the woods for 4 days. Tess also actually ended up breaking her heel on our trip while doing one of the many crossings over the downed logs on the trail.
