Test Riding the Yamaha TMax 530 - The Ultimate Scooter?

Here is a video of my test ride of the Yamaha TMax. I had this scooter in my garage during 3 weeks. It belongs to a good friend who has requested me to keep it during his vacations, as the TMax is the most stolen 2-wheeler in France. I took it for a 2-hour ride. It's pretty hard, maybe even impossible, to evaluate comprehensively a vehicle in such a short time. So, what I am sharing here are just my first impressions.

Specifications in brief:
- Forward inclined parallel twin cylinder engine
- 530 cc, water cooled
- 46 hp @ 6,750 rpm, 52 nm @ 5,250 rpm
- Cast-aluminium frame
- V-belt automatic transmission
- Radial brakes with ABS
- 222 kg (489 lb) with all operating consumable liquids
- 800 mm (31.5 in) seat height
- 15 l (4 US Gal) fuel tank
- 10,000 km (6,000 mi) or 12-month maintenance interval
- 10,999 euros (in France), VAT included

The TMax in the video is the Iron Max version, with a matt black paint, golden fork & brake caliper caps, aluminium footplates, and alcantara seat. The price of the Iron Max version is 11,499 euros in France, VAT included.
