AUSTRALIAN PAVLOVA RECIPE | COUPLES COOKING | make a perfect Australian summertime dessert.

Another one of those contraversial Australian recipes. This one is named after a famous Russian ballerina from when she was on tour in Australia.
Her name was Anna Pavlova and today we are making a Pavlova.
It is a very easy dessert to make and is an absolute winner of a dessert at summer parties.
Recipe can be found below.

4 Medium Egg Whites
220g Caster Sugar
2 tsp Lemon Juice (or Cider vinegar, or Cream of tartar)
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tsp Corn Flour

METHOD:
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form and then slowly add the sugar
a spoonful at a time.
Once the sugar has all been added continue beating until stiff peaks form
and until the sugar is completely dissolved ( you can check this by rubbing
a little bit of the mixture between your finger and thumb)
When you are sattisfied that the sugar is fully dissolved you can carefully add the vanilla, lemon juice and cornflour gently stirring until combined.
Now you can pour the mixture out onto a lined baking tray and shape your meringue how you would like it.
Bake at 130 C for 10 min and then turn the oven down to 100 C and bake for 90 min before switching the oven off and allowing the pavlova to cool in the oven.
Once the pavlova is cool cover with whipped cream and fruit of your choice and you are ready to enjoy Your very own homemade pavlova.
Baking instructions:
Preheat oven to 130C
Bake for 10 mins
Turn oven down to 100C
Bake for 90 mins
Turn oven off and let the meringue cool down with the oven
