1. Typing positions using superscript in Excel. (1st, 2nd etc.)
2. Typing Temperatures (degree sign) using superscript in Excel. (10°C/F)
3. Typing dimensions like m² using superscript in Excel.
4. Power of a number (10² etc) using superscript in Excel.
5. Typing Chemical equations like H₂O using subscript in Excel.
6. Typing numbers with bases (23₈) using subscript in excel.
7. Typing subscript and superscript in the same cell (a²b₄) in Excel.
8. Type a word as subscript in Excel.
9. Type a letter as a subscript (aₓ) in Excel.
10. Infinity as Superscript in Excel. (10 to the power infinity)
11. Infinity as Subscript in Excel. (10 to the base infinity)
12. Double subscript in Excel (a to the base b to the base c) using using Ink Equations.

Definition of Subscript - Subscripts are small letters or numbers below the baseline.
So if you see the equations like H2O or number with a base etc. are examples of subscripts.
Definition of Superscript - Superscripts is a small number or letter or it can be a combination above the baseline. So like, 1st or it could be 10 to the power of 4 or meter squared etc are superscripts.
Subscript Implementation in Excel
Step 1: Select the text that needs to be converted into a subscript.
Step 2: Right Click
Step 3: Select 'Format Cells'
Step 4: Check 'Subscript' checkbox.
Step 5: Click OK.
Superscript Implementation in Excel
Step 1: Select the text that needs to be converted into a superscript.

Shortcut for Subscript in Excel
1. Press and hold the ALT key, type H,F,N,B... one after the other. Release the ALT key.
2. Press and hold the CTRL key, type 1. Release the CTRL key. Press and hold the ALT key, type B. Release the ALT key and Press OK.
Shortcut for Superscript in Excel
1. Press and hold the ALT key, type H,F,N,E... one after the other. Release the ALT key.
