All-You-Can-Eat English Sunday Roast in London

A history of the British Sunday Roast, how it came about and why it's eaten in England every week AND a tour of Mama Shelter London's All-You-Can-Eat English Sunday Roast Dinner with a French twist for £25 per person!

We’re talking a station dedicated to beef wellington, pork belly, an alternative vegan option (aubergine parmigiana) and Yorkshire puddings. There was a corner topped high with creative salads (mackerel with beetroot, boiled eggs and lentil, roasted heritage carrots and prawn cocktail), traditional French dishes including coq au vin and duck parmentier with boulangere potatoes, a table turned giant cheeseboard complete with charcuterie and a smoked salmon platter. AND THEN *deep breath* there’s a marble top groaning from the weight of dessert choices: raspberry trifle, waffles, a big pot of custard, pineapple upside down cake and blackberry crumble. To put a long story short, we ate a lot.
