Here’s the blotter update…

- Aquafortis mercifully doesn’t rely on a barrel-load of musks to sustain the citrus notes. Of course, this means that the citruses do fade, but they certainly last longer than they normally do in other scents of this style, and they remain naturalistic throughout. Well worth seeking out if you’d like to add a more ‘substantial’ citrus composition to your collection.
- I confess that Possession perhaps doesn’t entirely live up to the promise it shows at the beginning: the rose+patchouli combo loses its authoritativeness a touch too rapidly. But that aside, this remains an elegant, sophisticated take on a classic structure: an attractive, contemporary-feeling cross between Aromatics Elixir and Narciso Rodriguez For Her.
