The Königstuhl mountain is a famous landmark of Heidelberg (Germany). A few times every winter, overnight snow converts an apple orchard on the Königstuhl mountain into a natural sledding track. This provides a great opportunity to individuals and families with young kids to spend a great day outdoors.

For fitness minded folks, there is also the possibility of a good workout pulling kids on their sleds back up to the top, as there are no lifts around.

The Kohlhof apple orchard (where the sledding track forms naturally) is easily accessible from Heidelberg city center by car or by public transport (bus no. 39 from Bismarkplatz) within 15 minutes.
