Almost entirely forgotten, Sega Touring Cars followed in the wake of Sega's massive hits such as Sega Rally, Daytona USA and Virtua Racing and failed to live up to its older siblings' standards.

In mid-May I'll be privileged to be heading off to the Atlanta Motorsports Park in the US to take part in Prodigy Week, Racing Prodigy's incredible e2Real project, aiming to take sim racers and gamers into real-world racing. As the oldest entrant with the longest gaming history, I've been looking back at the games that have been part of my journey. Over 40 years there are very few racing games I've not had some fun playing, up to and including Street Kart on iOS that gave me the opportunity to enter.
