In this video Dr. Lili talks about common errors in homemade PPE and she explains how if you want to use a filtering mask, you MUST have a tight seal to the face - otherwise it's all pointless. She discusses what she learned in her prior videos of making face masks and face shields and how this new mask pattern is her best yet, including the Filti facemask material, which was designed for DIY face masks and passed the FIT test. She discusses how healthcare workers need thoughtfully designed PPE, that there are elastic shortages and how to get around them, and goes in detail to explain her supplies. Each mask costs less than $2 to make, is washable, reusable, and has a pocket for the disposable Filti material.
