Stelarc - PROPEL Part 1: Man vs Robot

Here's a clip from our collaboration with the international artist Stelarc.

Our special 6-axis foam cutting robot (affectionately called Rupert) chiseled a 2-metre long ear from a block of foam. Having a machine cut the organic ridges and folds of an ear were quite impressive. Stelarc decided to incorporate our robot into the art itself, mounting the ear — and himself — to the robot for a dynamically choreographed performance.
