"La Golondrina" - Yevgeny Belyaev and the Alexandrov Ensemble quintet (1964)

The Mexican folk song "La Golondrina" (The Swallow) performed by Yevgeny Belyaev (tenor), the People's Artist of the Soviet Union and the soloist of the Twice Red Banner Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after A.V. Alexandrov, accompanied by the Russian instruments quintet of the Alexandrov Ensemble (with English, Spanish and Russian subtitles).

Written in 1883, by Mexican composer Narciso Serradel Sevilla, the spanish lyrics using the image of a migrating swallow to invoke sentiments of longing for home. The music for this song was used in Johnny O'Keefe's "She Wears My Ring".
