This song actually is a cossack Christmas carol. The young lad (main hero) and his friends decided to sing about a head but in a specific funny way... It's a sort of innuendo. To be more precise, thus they tried to make fun of the local Headman whom they didn't like because he didn't want the young lad to marry the Headman's daughter... They also sing - "Cossacks, enjoy yourselves (make merry)! (Oy, gulyai, gulyai, Kozak!)".

You can see the Headman himself in the beginning of the clip - big guy in white shirt and with moustage... The song is performed by Levko, the main hero who is NOT the Headman...
